myPresences allows you to host some public pages on your own domain so that users of these pages believe them to be part of your website.
You can host the following on your own domain so they appear on your website:
- Public Dashboard Page
- Review Page
- Feedback Generation Pages
Before you can host these pages on your own domain you need to perform 2 steps:
- Tell myPresences which domain or subdomain you will be using.
- Configure your DNS provider to work with myPresences.
Domain or Subdomain
Subdomain
It is most likely that you will use a subdomain on your main website to publish myPresences pages on your website. This will allow you to publish your myPresences pages on a subdomain like below if your website was acme.com:
- clients. eg. clients.acme.com
- public eg. public.acme.com
- services eg. services.acme.com
Domain
If you have a domain available you can use it as well but all traffic to the domain will be redirected to myPresences so this is mainly useful for white labelling the entire platform.
1. Setting your domain in myPresences
You can set the domain or subdomain you will use on the whitelabel setup page in the Pages tab.
You should enter only your domain or subdomain and not the entire URL.
Eg. clients.acme.com and not https://clients.acme.com
If you are setting a domain you can enter it as acme.com or www.acme.com.
Once this is saved myPresences will allow pages to be hosted from your domain.
2. Configure your DNS provider to work with myPresences
As there are many domain provider these instructions will change for each provider.
Subdomain
To use a subdomain you should add a CNAME to your DNS configuration with the name you would like to use and point this cname at whitelabel.mypresences.com.
Once you have saved the CNAME it will take some time to propagate across the internet (give it an hour or so but it may take longer).
Domain
If you are using a Domain you should add an A Record for your domain and point it at 54.201.37.223 .
Once you have saved the A Record give it an hour or so for the change to take effect online.
3. Configuring SSL for your domain
To enable SSL on your domain we need to generate an SSL certificate for your domain.
This is a manual process, please notify us when your domain is white labeled and we will configure your SSL certificate.
